CONCEPT OF JIHAD IN ISLAM

Meaning of JIHAD:

                                    Just imagine that anyone say i will do jihad.i am sure that anyone who listen this will flee from there and immediately call the police. this is because we relate the word jihad with war. that's not true, basically jihad is also a word of ARABIC meaning effort and hard work etc. that's not okay to relate jihad with only war .

IN ISLAM:

In Islam if anywhere any non Muslim don't let any Muslim to worship or anyone kills any Muslim or anyone insult our religion or our Prophet (P.B.U.H) then it is obligation for Muslims to fight a war against them. In Islam our Prophet (P.B.U.H) declared that all Muslims are brother.So if anywhere Oppression will be overthrown on Muslims it is obligation for whole Muslim Ummah to declare war against them.Islam does bot take care of only Muslims, these orders are same for non Muslims. If Muslims saw that abuse is being perpetrated on non Muslims so Muslims should effort to stop it.So we can say that if any Muslim if he take up arms and fight to finish evil so he did jihad.If any Muslim struggle for his rights or rights of people in the fair way then he is also doing jihad.

                                                                      one important thing to note is that jihad and terrorism are two different things.If anyone start killing innocent people in the name of jihad then he is not doing jihad even he is spreading evil.Terrorism has no place in Islam.There are terrorists in every nation,It is wrong to associate them only with Islam.people says that Islam spread by sword so that is wrong. 

TYPES OF JIHAD IN ISLAM:

AS  you can see in the image,there are four types of jihad:

1>JIHAD BIL MAAL............It is a jihad which can a Muslim perform by his wealth. if a muslim cant go to a jihad (war) due to any injuries so he can help by giving money to the fighters in war or by sponsor the families of the martyrs etc.  He can also spend his wealth on any good purpose without expecting a good return.

 

2>Jihad Bil Qalum........The qalum is called Pen.A Muslim can perform this jihad by spreading knowledge he has for free without expecting any return only for the sake of Allah. If a Muslim is writing against the enemies of Islam so it is also jihad bil qalum.

(all non muslims are not enemies of Islam. we will talk about it on another topic.)   

 

 3>Jihad Bil Nafs(jihad-e-Akbar).........In arabic Akbar means THE biggest one.this is the biggest jihad because it is most difficult, in this jihad we have to fight with ourself or our ego or our soul.if we can control our Nafs then we can perform jihad bil nafs.   

4>Jihad Bil Saif..........This is the jihad in which we take up arms against enemies of Islam and fight with them.I have already mentioned the reasons to start this jihad.In Arabic Saif means sword but now we can say it arms.

Things non-Muslims should know:

                                                            Islam is a religion of peace for all but if anyone violates its honor then it will not tolerate him.So live with peace and let Muslims live with peace, we also don't like to keep fighting.......
